On this page you will find the rabbits that started us off with our sealpoints.
We got our first pair in February 2009, Daisy & Casper from a lovely breeder/exhibitor named Nikki Caddy. Unfortunatley we lost Casper before we had chance to get a litter from him. We went back to Nikki who helped us get back on track with Bailey, a sealpoint bred siamese sable. We had a litter from the pair which resulted in Oliver, who we originally sexed as a doe so moved him on to a friend of ours. It soon came to light that she was infact a he and we were very lucky that he was offered back to us. In September 09 we added another sealpoint, a lovely doe from Helen Chugg, this was our starting block for our sealpoint project.
We went ahead with some matings and kept some of the kits, with intent to get out to some shows, when we built up the courage!
Unfortunatley in 2011, I (Sarah) had a change of heart and decided I wanted to give up with the rabbits. Having 2 young children and trying to divide the time between rabbit shed and house (not to mention my huge fear of the eight legged beasts that seemed to love our shed!) it all got a little too much. With Mike working long hours too, it was difficult to keep on top of everything. I made the decision to sell my breeding stock, apart from Daisy & Belle. It was then that Mike said he take over with the remaining rabbits, he hated seeing the 2 years of work with the sealpoints gone to waste, he had more time on his hands after starting a new job so tried sourcing back some of our stock.
Now, a year on (December 2012) we have our sealpoints almost to the point we were before deciding to sell up. We still have some hard work to do, but I'm sure we will get there.
Pictures below are of our starting 4
